History

Multi-Fix was established in 1988 as a trading company in stainless steel fasteners. Through a combination of competitive pricing and a very customer-oriented approach to the market, Multi-Fix soon experienced steady growth. In the past twenty years, Multi-Fix has further developed its services and became a total supplier for the entire spectrum of small shop-floor articles.

As a result of our contacts in Asia, increasingly more companies contacted Multi-Fix Group in the mid 90s with requests to supply, in addition to fasteners, production parts in accordance with designs. This resulted in the first branch in China being opened in 1998. In order to meet the demand for design parts, the company Multi-Fix Special Products was founded in 2001. This rapidly growing organization is characterized by a distinctive focus on quality & reliability, in a market where these two elements are not necessarily self-evident.

In 2004, Multi-fix Shanghai Pudong was founded. This branch employs approximately 70 people. On-site Western managers oversee the purchasing, quality and project management and the branch functions as the logistical centre for Asia. Annually, around 600 containers are shipped from China.

In 2008, our third branch was opened in Shanghai Nanhui. This is the first location to have its own laboratory, at which various material and finishing tests are performed under our own supervision.
